We have assisted HEMIT, Central Norway Regional Health Authorities IT division, developing new tools for use at the hospitals in Central Norway. Among these are the development of two new medical registers for increased quality of disease control and antibiotic use.
New & simplified tools
These tools have represented a new workflow for hospital employees, where they have largely automated and simplified demanding manual tasks such as patient follow-up, letter delivery and paper form, and at the same time given a whole new dimension of traceability and insight into their own data that form the basis for ongoing quality improvement work.
A holtistic approach
Nice has led the design work with these registers, and job networks with contingency agents and users in order to better to understand a demanding context and find good solutions. These are products with a high degree of complexity, having to be used by several dozens of different employees in different medical departments across the health region. The work also laid the foundation for a common design language that has been continued and used by other projects in HEMIT.
