This page contains several vocal exercises to help my students warm up prior to practicing or performing, or before their lessons.

I recommend that beginners or young singers start with the ‘fun ones’ in the order listed. More advanced singers should focus on the other two categories.

The pitch of each exercise, with the exception of the scales, varies from both very high to very low. If the range exceeds your own, drop out until the pitch becomes comfortable again. Use any vowel you like except where indicated. Don’t strain, but also don’t be afraid to challenge yourself!
