Presenting sucks. Or at least it does when the projector won’t work, files refuse to open, or people are falling asleep to the powerpoint bullets. SlideDog aims to remedy the software part of that problem by creating a single interface where any type of media can be combined and played back seamlessly.
The founders behind SlideDog already had a working product for AV technicians to run big conferences, but they saw potential in adapting their technology to a consumer market. We got in touch with the team when SlideDog was still no more than an idea. Since then, we’ve collaborated on everything from the first beta products to the design of videos and website.
SlideDog was first launched back in 2012, and has since then grown to nearly 100 000 users. We have been involved at various stages, and have a special fondness for SlideDog since it was one of the very first projects Nice undertook.
Beyond the desktop
We had put a lot of effort into making SlideDog a better tool for the presenter, but we saw that this was only half of the equation. The second half is of course the audience, and with SlideDog we had potential to change how the audience experiences and takes part in the presentation. This became the goal of a separate project where we worked within the context of education.
